Linkin Park is slated to headline The Sunset Strip Music Festival, back for the 6th year this August. The performance will be Linkin Park's first in their native L.A. since 2012 and marks the band's last North American gig of 2013.
"We started our career playing clubs on The Strip," Linkin Park's Chester Bennington said in a statement. "It's a thrill to be back where it all began, headlining this festival in our hometown."
The street festival will take place Saturday, August 3, 2013 on the iconic Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.
According to a press release, a significant portion of the event's proceeds will benefit Linkin Park's nonprofit organization Music For Relief, which supports disaster relief and the prevention of natural disasters and provides aid to survivors.
