Brian Johnson he was honored to be presented with an honorary doctorate on Wednesday from Northumbria University in his hometown of Newcastle, England.

"Just to be recognized by your own city, it really means a lot," says Johnson. "It's quite a tingly feeling. It's goosebumps. It really is."

Johnson gave a brief speech, which he says he was thinking about while driving 175-miles-per-hour in the rain at the 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race last weekend. "That's all I was thinking about. That's how much [this honor] means to me."

Johnson told the grads that when he gets back home to Florida he is going to get a set of custom license plates that say "Rock Doc 1."
