Metallica has earned a spot in the new Guinness Book of World Records. The latest edition of the book is due out next week, and the metal icons will have a page for becoming the first and only band to put on a concert on all seven continents in a single year.
Metallica achieved the record last December with their "Freeze 'Em All" show in Antarctica. Frontman James Hetfield said playing in front of 120 scientists and competition winners - plus hundreds of "very curious penguins" - was the "gig of a lifetime."
Congrats to the band!
